FE Studios

Privacy notice

Last updated: 3 August 2026

This notice explains what personal information FE Studios collects, why it is used and the choices you have. It applies when you use this website, send an enquiry or become a client.

Who is responsible for your information?

FE Studios is operated by Jamie Fleming, trading as FE Studios and based in Blyth, Northumberland, United Kingdom. Jamie Fleming is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

Email: jamie@festudios.co.uk

Information collected

Depending on how you interact with FE Studios, this may include:

  • your name, email address and any information in an enquiry;
  • business, project, billing and correspondence information;
  • technical information such as an IP address, browser type, device, referring page and request time; and
  • information you provide during a project or support request.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in the website contact form.

How and why the information is used

Enquiries and quotes

To respond, discuss your requirements and prepare a quote. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract and for the legitimate interest of communicating with potential clients.

Projects and support

To provide agreed services, manage projects, maintain websites, communicate with clients and collect payment. The lawful basis is performance of a contract.

Business and legal records

To maintain invoices, contracts and records required for accounting, tax, dispute resolution and legal compliance. The lawful bases are legal obligation and legitimate interests.

Website operation and security

To deliver the website, diagnose faults, prevent misuse and keep the service secure. This is based on the legitimate interest of operating a reliable and secure website.

Your enquiry details are not added to a marketing list, and FE Studios does not sell personal information.

Service providers and sharing

Personal information is only shared where necessary to operate the website, provide services or meet legal obligations. Current providers include:

  • Formspree, which receives and delivers contact-form submissions;
  • Netlify, which hosts and delivers the website;
  • Google Fonts, which supplies the website’s typefaces; and
  • professional advisers, payment providers or public authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required.

Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where this happens, FE Studios relies on the provider’s recognised transfer mechanism and contractual or other appropriate safeguards required by data-protection law.

You can read the Formspree privacy policy and the Netlify privacy policy.

Cookies, fonts and technical data

This website does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics cookies. A consent banner is therefore not shown. The hosting provider may process limited server-log information to deliver and secure the website.

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google states that its Fonts API does not set cookies, although the request includes technical data such as the visitor’s IP address, requested URL, browser information and referring page. If non-essential analytics or advertising technology is added later, this notice and the site’s consent controls will be updated.

How long information is kept

  • Enquiries that do not become projects are normally deleted within 12 months of the last meaningful contact.
  • Client, contract and transaction records may be kept for up to six years after the relationship ends where required for tax, accounting, legal claims or business records.
  • Technical logs are retained according to the relevant hosting and service provider’s operational and security requirements.

Information may be retained longer where a legal requirement, dispute or active contract makes this necessary.

Keeping information secure

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal information. These include encrypted website connections, access controls and reputable service providers. No method of storing or transmitting information can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • request a copy of your personal information;
  • ask for inaccurate or incomplete information to be corrected;
  • ask for information to be deleted or its use restricted;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • receive certain information in a portable format; and
  • withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis.

These rights are not absolute and exemptions may apply. To exercise a right, email jamie@festudios.co.uk. FE Studios may need to verify your identity before responding.

Questions and complaints

Please contact FE Studios first if you have a question or concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Information about making a complaint is available at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated when the website, services or legal requirements change. The latest version will always be published on this page with its revision date.
